The Ins and Outs of Day Training

At Paws Up we believe in using positive reinforcement techniques and the clicker method throughout all our training programs.
At the moment we do not offer group training sessions. We offered privates in-home or in outdoor environments. Other services: day training and puppy board and train.
Our services required an initial consultation. After the consultation, we will get you started on a schedule that meets your needs.
Cancellations made before the start of any service will only be charged the non-refundable deposit.
Payments made after the start of any service are non-refundable.
*Private 1-hour training (priced at $90) is a non-refundable service. This service will be charged the total amount without any deposit when enrolled.
Private sessions, obedience packages and the CGC evaluation services require a 24 hour minimum notice for rescheduling. There will be an additional $10 charge if made within the 24 hour period.
Field Trip Services require a minimum notice of 3 days for rescheduling. There will be an additional charge of $15 if made within the 3 day period.
Day Training and Puppy Board & Train services required a 2 week notice for rescheduling. There will be an additional fee depending on the package.
No! Our Day Training services are specifically for those who need more help and might not have the time to train their dog constantly. We train the dog for you and meet with you once a week to transfer what your dog has learned.
We do not train aggressive dogs. Nonetheless, we train dogs who are reactive. If you are not sure if your dog is demonstrating signs of reactivity or aggression we can determine the best course of action during our in-home evaluation.
All pets must be up-to-date with their vaccinations so that we do not risk spreading diseases to other clients’ pets. We do make exceptions for pets who are unable to be vaccinated due to medical reasons, and we do accept titers as proof of immunity.
Training can start early in a dog’s life. In fact, we recommend beginning basic training as soon as you bring a new puppy home, which is usually around 8 weeks of age. Early training helps build a strong foundation for desirable behaviors and socialization.
That being said, it is never too late to start training your dog!
