The Ins and Outs of Day Training

At Paws Up we believe in using positive reinforcement techniques and the clicker method throughout all our training programs.
At the moment we do not offer group training sessions. We offered privates in-home or in outdoor environments. Other services: day training and online training.
Our services required an initial consultation. After the consultation, we will get you started on a schedule that meets your needs.
Training sessions cancellations made with a 24 hours notice will have the possibility of reschedule or credit toward future services.
We don’t offer refunds for any service already provided. If you canceled your service within the allowed time, you may be eligible for a refund of services not provided without the non-refundable deposit.
If you need to reschedule a session, we ask for at least 24 hours notice. We don’t offer reschedules if cancelled the day of (exceptions will be made for emergency situations on a case-by-case basis).
If you arrive late to your session, the session will end at the scheduled time with no extension. Please arrive on time to make the most of your training session.
No! Our Day Training services are specifically for those who need more help and might not have the time to train their dog constantly. We train the dog for you and meet with you once a week to transfer what your dog has learned.
We do not train aggressive dogs. Nonetheless, we train dogs who are reactive. If you are not sure if your dog is demonstrating signs of reactivity or aggression we can determine the best course of action during our in-home evaluation.
All pets must be up-to-date with their vaccinations so that we do not risk spreading diseases to other clients’ pets. We do make exceptions for pets who are unable to be vaccinated due to medical reasons.
Training can start early in a dog’s life. In fact, we recommend beginning basic training as soon as you bring a new puppy home, which is usually around 8 weeks of age. Early training helps build a strong foundation for desirable behaviors and socialization.
That being said, it is never too late to start training your dog!
